Wahida Bint Wadeena was a mare with very typical Arabic look and with a beautiful expression on her face.
She had wonderful movements and a very sweet carachter.
She was out of very good bloodlines on both parent sides.
Wahida Bint Wadeena arrived at Karmdal on 14 March 2002.
She ended her days at Nørlund Horse Hospital, where the staff had worked
with her for many days. Wahida had a very bad infection in the blood,
and this infection was gone on to her eyes, so she lost her sight.
For 25 years the Hospital had only seen this kind of sicknes 1 time before.
How it started nobody can know, but from the first day of sickness she
was in the hands of the veterinariens, but she did not became better.
Lone was holding her and Claus standing close by, when she took the last
journey to the other side.
Wahida Bint Wadeena was given to Lone by Claus on Lone's 30 years birthday.
What a present ! She has since the first day been a member of our family and
she has given us lots of joy. Beautiful foals, amazing results in the show ring,
and lots of daily smiles on our lips, because of her sweet and always happy
way of being. Until the very end she was a sweet, sweet horse. The vets
were amazed how easy and sweet she was, even that they filled her
up with drugs and even that they moved her around, when she could not see.
We are now very happy that we still have her beautiful daughter Barakah El Karmdal,
and hope Barakah can fill out her moms place.
